Started October 2024: Funded by AdvanCell Isotopes Ltd & University of Bath
Marianne graduated from the University of Oxford in 2022 with a first-class integrated master's in chemistry (MChem). She then spent 2 years at AstraZeneca in Cambridge on their R&D Graduate Programme in Chemistry. Over this time, Marianne completed rotations in analytical chemistry and synthetic chemistry within early oncology, followed by a project developing a covalent library platform, hosted collaboratively between hit discovery chemistry and peptide chemistry.
Her PhD project focuses on synthesising covalently modified peptide libraries with the aim to develop covalent radiopharmaceuticals for targeted alpha therapy.
Outside of the lab, Marianne enjoys playing sports, particularly netball, as well as reading and baking.
