Started March 2026: Funded by UKRI (Future Leaders Fellowship)

Ellie completed her PhD in Chemical Biology at the University of East Anglia in the lab of Dr Andrew Beekman. Ellie's PhD research involved synthesis of peptide and peptide-small molecule hybrids for the disruption of protein-protein interactions in cancer.

Her current project focuses on the optimisation of electrophilic warheads to generate potent, stable and selective covalent peptides.

Outside of the lab, Ellie enjoys going on adventures by bike or paddleboard. On rainy days she can be found at the cinema watching films.
